Discovering Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic

Getting There

Reaching Jarabacoa is straightforward. The nearest international airport is Las Américas International Airport in Santo Domingo. From there, you can take a Caribe Tours bus, which departs every 2-3 hours and costs around DP$500. The journey takes approximately 2.5 hours. If you’re traveling from the north, you’ll need to switch buses in La Vega.

Best Time to Visit

Plan your visit between November and April, when the weather is dry and temperatures are comfortable, ranging from 70°F to 85°F (21°C to 29°C). The rainy season from May to October can bring heavy rainfall and the risk of hurricanes, which might disrupt travel plans.
