About this trip
Set off on an unforgettable maritime adventure! Leave Paris in the evening for an overnight coach trip, heading for the fresh Atlantic air and three of the west coast’s loveliest destinations: Île de Ré, La Rochelle and Île d’Oléron.
Upon your early-morning arrival, make for the enchanting Île de Ré. Ease into the day in one of the island’s typical villages, sipping coffee on a terrace to the cry of seagulls and the gentle rhythm of local markets. Then explore this slice of paradise: peaceful beaches, flower-lined lanes, white houses with green shutters and cycle paths winding between dunes and salt marshes – the perfect place to reconnect with nature and breathe deeply.
At the end of the day, return to La Rochelle, where you’ll stay in a hotel just a short walk from the centre – ideal for enjoying the old harbour’s lively terraces and its sunset seafront promenade on foot.
The next morning, board a cruise to the iconic Fort Boyard, then head for Île d’Oléron – wild, authentic and utterly charming. Here, unspoilt nature, oyster-farming traditions and an easy-going lifestyle come together beautifully.
A timeless weekend of sea air, breathtaking scenery and unforgettable discoveries. So, are you ready to fall for the Atlantic? 🌊🌅
