About this trip

Join us for a Day Trip to the Loire Valley Castles, a friendly and cultural getaway between Blois and Chenonceau. Departing from Paris (Porte d'Orléans 75014 Paris, statue of General de Gaulle), set off to discover the Loire Valley, one of the most emblematic regions of France, combining a royal city full of history and one of the most beautiful castles in France built over the Cher River.

In the morning, departure towards the Loire Valley, one of the most emblematic regions of France. First stop: Blois, a royal city rich in history. Former residence of several French kings, Blois was for a long time a major political center of the kingdom. You will be able to walk freely through the historic center, discover its narrow streets, stairways, old houses and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the city.

For this trip, we are sorry, but this partner does not allow minors. If you have children, you can check the list of events where minors are accepted, with a preferential rate for them.

For those who wish, it will be possible to visit the Royal Castle of Blois, a fascinating place where several French sovereigns lived, including Francis I. It is also here that French history unfolded many times, between royal intrigues and major political decisions.

In the afternoon, we head to one of the absolute jewels of the Loire Valley: the Château de Chenonceau (entrance included). Built over the Cher River, this castle is unique in France. Nicknamed the Ladies’ Castle, it is closely linked to major female figures in history, such as Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Medici.

You will be able to visit the interior of the castle, its galleries, richly decorated rooms, as well as its elegant gardens. The setting is exceptional, combining Renaissance architecture and natural landscapes. A truly timeless moment, perfect for discovering French history in a different way and leaving with incredible memories.

At the end of the day, return by bus with unforgettable memories.

The trip was amazing, Maureen was very professional and nice and the organization was excellent. The only thing that was not up to standard was the attitude of the bus driver, who was very rude on a couple of occasions and did not speak any english.
