Moret-sur-Loing is one of the most beautiful medieval towns near Paris — so charming that it inspired famous impressionist painters like Alfred Sisley.

On this special Easter Sunday adventure, we’ll hike through peaceful forests, rolling countryside, riverside trails and charming French villages before arriving at this magical town surrounded by stone walls and ancient gates.

Imagine finishing your hike with a relaxed stroll along the Loing river, enjoying cafés, bakeries and views that look straight out of a fairytale.

This is the perfect Easter escape from the city — nature, culture and beautiful landscapes all in one day.

📅TRIP DETAILS

Start and End Date: Sunday, 5 April (Easter Weekend).

Meeting Location and Time:

Option A: Meet inside Paris Gare de Lyon at 9:00 am on Sunday.
Option B: Meet outside Moret-Veneux-les-Sablons Train Station at 10:00 am on Sunday.

Note: Exact platform location in Paris Gare de Lyon will be advised in the WhatsApp group for confirmed participants the day before the trip.

Finishing Location and Time:

Option A: Paris Gare de Lyon at 5:30 pm on Sunday.
Option B: Moret-Veneux-les-Sablons Train Station at 4.30 pm on Sunday.

Hiking Distance:15 km from Moret – Veneux-les-Sablons and back.

Hiking Difficulty: Intermediate – Relaxed pace but long distance.

Kid and Pet Friendly : Yes

Weather is temperament and can vary between raining and sunny weather. Would recommend the following at a minimum:

How to get to Moret – Veneux-les-Sablons?

Train: Moret-Veneux-les-Sablons is easily reachable by train from Paris Gare de Lyon in about 45–55 minutes.

Regular regional trains run throughout the day.

🗺 WHAT IS THE PLAN?

09:00 AM – Meet at Paris Gare de Lyon and greet the group. Quick briefing about the day and the hike ahead.

09:16 AM – Catch the regional train to Moret-Veneux-les-Sablons.

10:00 AM – Arrive at Moret-Veneux-les-Sablons station and start our hike.

10:15 AM – Begin hiking through scenic countryside paths and sections of the Fontainebleau forest, gradually approaching the Loing river valley.

12:30 PM – Lunch break (30 minutes). Relax, enjoy your packed lunch and recharge before continuing the hike.

01:00 PM – Continue the hike along riverside trails and charming village paths, with several scenic viewpoints and photo stops.

03:30 PM – Arrive in the beautiful medieval town of Moret-sur-Loing. Short stroll through the historic streets and along the river.

04:10 PM – Walk to Moret-Veneux-les-Sablons train station.

04:30 PM – Catch the train back to Paris.

05:30 PM – Arrive back at Paris Gare de Lyon and end of the trip.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Free cancellation up to 7 full days before the start of the trip. After that, cancel up to 5 days before the trip to get a 50% refund.
If the event is cancelled by Urbanature Travel (UNT), you will get a full refund (excluding any airfares), unless you have purchased a flight inclusive package directly with Urbanature Travel (UNT) in which case you will get a refund including the flights.
Please note that the program, as well as the venue is subject to change due to extreme weather conditions, as well as to the characteristics and size of the group.
Urbanature Travel (UNT) needs a minimum of 5 participants for this trip to take place, else we may cancel this trip.
UNT reserves the right to cancel the trip, modify the route, change the accommodation or re-schedule hikes and without prior notice.
UNT is not responsible for any loss, theft, damage or personal injury that occurs during the trip.
