If you choose the latter, prepare for a scenic drive through Zambia’s countryside. From Kasama, the falls are about a four-hour drive away, located 22 km from Mbereshi on the tarred Kawambwa road. A 1 km spur off the main road will lead you to the base of the falls.

The ideal time to experience Ntumbachushi Falls is during the rainy season, from November to April, when the water flow is at its peak. However, if you prefer a quieter visit, consider the dry season from May to September, when the falls create a delicate ‘bridalveil’ effect. Ntumbachushi Falls is not just one waterfall but a series of cascades stretching over 2 km. The main falls split into two channels, each about 10 meters wide and dropping 30 meters.
