Yedigöller National Park, established in 1965, is a stunning natural reserve located in the Mengen district of Bolu Province, Turkey. The park is renowned for its seven lakes, formed by landslides, which are named Büyükgöl, Deringöl, Seringöl, Nazlıgöl, Sazlıgöl, Incegöl, and Küçükgöl. Situated at an elevation of 900 meters (3,000 feet), the park covers an area of 1,623 hectares (4,010 acres) and offers a diverse range of flora and fauna.

Getting to Yedigöller National Park

Yedigöller National Park is accessible from both Istanbul and Ankara, making it a convenient destination for travelers in Turkey. The park is located 42 kilometers (26 miles) north of Bolu and can be reached via the Yenicaga road, 152 kilometers (94 miles) from the Ankara-Istanbul highway. During winter, access is limited to the Yenicaga-Mengen-Yazicik road.

  • By Bus: Buses from Istanbul to Bolu are available, with the journey taking around 4-5 hours. From Bolu, local transport can take you to the park.
