About this trip
Enter the medieval-fantasy world of Cidre & Dragon in Merville-Franceville-Plage for a day of historical reenactments, colourful parades, theatre and music performances, workshops, craft stalls and exhibitions. Costumes are encouraged, helping elves, trolls, goblins and other fantastic characters take over this Normandy seaside town.
The 2026 festival celebrates Air as part of its Cycle of the Elements. Explore the free festival at your own pace, enjoy the street entertainment and medieval atmosphere, and take time to discover the beach or one of the nearby heritage and nature sites if you wish.
Program
- 07:40: meeting and check-in at 26-28 bis place de la Nation, 75012 Paris.
- 08:00: coach departure for Merville-Franceville-Plage.
- During the day: free time to enjoy Cidre & Dragon and explore Merville-Franceville at your own pace.
- 17:30: coach departure for Paris.
- 21:00-21:30: expected arrival in Paris at the departure point.
Traffic, weather and event arrangements may affect the schedule. You may explore independently, provided you respect the announced meeting times.
Cidre & Dragon
This welcoming festival is designed for adults and children alike. Its medieval, fantasy and science-fiction atmosphere brings together historical reenactments, parades, theatre and music performances, workshops, craft fairs and exhibitions. Visitors are invited to come in costume and become part of the spectacle.
The name combines Normandy's traditional cider with the dragons and mythical creatures of the fantasy world. The official 2026 programme also announces a medieval market, role-playing and live-action role-playing, music stages, authors and illustrators, conferences, an artisans' village, street shows and a children's village. Festival admission is free; some activities or visits may nevertheless be optional and chargeable.

This major Second World War site is a former German fortification captured by British troops on D-Day and now houses a museum. Address: Avenue du 9ème Bataillon, 14810 Merville-Franceville-Plage. Merville-Franceville Beach
Enjoy the sandy beach for a walk, a relaxing break or water sports. Access to the beach is free.
Le Grand Bunker — Atlantic Wall Museum
This 17-metre former German bunker in Ouistreham presents life under the Occupation and the Atlantic Wall defences. Address: Avenue du 6 Juin, 14150 Ouistreham, around 10 km from Merville-Franceville. Maison de la Nature et de l'Estuaire

Without insurance, the ticket is non-refundable but may be transferred by providing the replacement participant's first and last name.
