Champagne: Vineyards, Épernay and Reims

Program

• 8:45 AM: departure from Nation in Paris.
• Vineyard: visit a wine estate, its cellars and the Champagne-production setting. The tasting is optional and paid separately.
• Épernay: walk along Avenue de Champagne and discover the major Champagne houses, including Moët & Chandon and Dom Pérignon.
• Lunch in Épernay: free time to choose a local restaurant, a bakery or a homemade picnic; lunch is at your own expense.
• Reims: commented visit and free time around Notre-Dame Cathedral, Palais du Tau, Porte de Mars and Place Drouet-d'Erlon.
• 9:00 PM: planned return to Nation in Paris.

Champagne experience

The day follows the region from vineyard to city: the vineyard landscapes and production process, the cellars and tasting experience, Épernay's Avenue de Champagne and its famous houses, then the royal and Roman heritage of Reims.

The optional cellar visit is offered at €11 without alcohol or €15 with a tasting of three champagnes. This visit and tasting are not included in the trip ticket.

Transport and group

• Travel is by comfortable touring coach.
• The group usually consists of approximately 50 to 60 participants.
• The atmosphere is designed to be friendly and social; games may be offered during the journey.
• The coach is not adapted for people with reduced mobility.

• Round-trip transport by touring coach from Paris.
• Commented visits included in the program.
• Trip leaders who facilitate the journey, create a friendly atmosphere and answer practical questions; they are not professional tour guides.

Not included

• Personal expenses, including lunch and drinks.
• Cellar visit and tasting: €11 without alcohol or €15 with three champagnes.
• Any service not explicitly listed as included.

Difficulty and accessibility

The stated effort level is easy. The coach is not accessible to people with reduced mobility. Participants with specific needs should verify whether the trip is suitable before booking.

Cancellation and changes

• Cancellation is possible within three days of purchase, provided the request is made more than 20 days before departure.
• A participant-name change costs €5 when requested up to 10 days before departure.
• No change is possible during the final 48 hours before the trip.
