Main experiences
Rovaniemi and Santa Claus Village
Begin in the heart of Finnish Lapland. Cross the Arctic Circle, meet Santa Claus, visit the Arctic Post Office, explore the Christmas village and discover Rovaniemi and its surroundings.
Northern Lights safaris
Head into the Arctic wilderness on several evenings to search for the Aurora Borealis. The guide monitors weather and visibility and chooses suitable locations away from light pollution. Participants can learn about Aurora science, local conditions and Northern Lights photography.
Aurora sightings remain dependent on solar activity, cloud and weather. The official page states that if no Northern Lights are seen during the included hunting experiences, participants may join another Northern Lights trip free of charge, excluding flights; the detailed application conditions should be confirmed after booking.

Finland to Norway roadtrip
Travel through snow-covered boreal forest, Arctic fells, open wilderness and remote communities, with possible reindeer sightings and scenic roadside stops. The route moves from Rovaniemi to Karigasniemi and then into northern Norway.
North Cape
Reach Nordkapp, dramatically positioned above the Arctic Ocean. Photograph the globe monument, look over the Barents Sea and visit the visitor centre and museum to learn about the explorers who reached this remote part of Europe. The drive, plateau and admission remain weather- and road-dependent.

Sámi culture, reindeer and gold panning
Pass through the cultural heartland of the Finnish Sámi around Inari. The confirmed programme includes a guided visit around the Sámi Parliament area and a reindeer-feeding experience. Indoor gold panning is planned only when time and availability permit.

Overnight: Rovaniemi.
Day 2 — Santa Claus Village, Rovaniemi and Aurora
After breakfast, visit Santa Claus Village, cross the Arctic Circle, meet Santa, see the Arctic Post Office and explore the Christmas setting. Continue with Rovaniemi and its surroundings, enjoy free time before dinner, then join a second Northern Lights hunt.

Day 3 — Arctic roadtrip to Karigasniemi

Overnight: Karigasniemi.
Day 4 — Optional Norway–Russia border experience and Arctic frontier
This day is reserved for the optional border add-on, subject to final logistics and operating conditions. Participants who book it travel towards the Kirkenes or Sør-Varanger border region for an approximately three-hour guided hike on the Norwegian side through birch forest and open tundra towards authorised border markers.
Possible features include the Pasvik River landscape, a historic watchtower, Norwegian border markers, views towards Russian territory, border-monitoring infrastructure, Cold War history and a viewpoint towards Storskog depending on the route and conditions. Moderate fitness is required for uneven terrain, dirt paths and some elevation.
Participants who do not select the add-on follow the standard Arctic roadtrip programme. The exact departure time, transport, route and accommodation arrangement are confirmed closer to departure according to road conditions, border-area requirements, weather and local operator availability.
Overnight: Karigasniemi or the designated accommodation according to final add-on logistics.
Day 5 — North Cape, where Europe ends
After breakfast, drive through northern Norway towards North Cape, with scenic stops where conditions allow. Photograph the globe, look across the Barents Sea, visit the visitor centre and museum and learn about the region. Begin the return journey, stop for dinner and use another opportunity to search for the Northern Lights.
Overnight: Karigasniemi.
Day 6 — Arctic wilderness roadtrip to Rovaniemi and departure
Travel south as the landscape changes from remote fells and tundra to vast taiga forest. Pass through quiet areas of northern Finland and the atmospheric Pokka corridor before continuing to Rovaniemi. Transfer participants towards the airport according to flight schedules, take final photographs and say goodbye to the group.

This is a great way to escape the city hustle for a day (or longer) and surround yourself with beautiful, calming nature. Our guide Elizabeth was friendly and knowledgeable about the trail. I also met some fun and interesting people along the way. Highly recommend – I’m already planning my next hike with them.

Van Gogh Hiking. Perfect bright sunny day walking at Auvers-sur-Oise by Garrett. More like a stroll. Very easy going. Wandered about the beautiful french village. Garrett had good stories on Van Gogh life in the village. Even brought sun flower for VG grave site. Garrett could be more attentive to all members of the group. Overall, a nice day paying respect to VG.

Wooooooooowwww!
What a trip! First time traveling with a group, and I couldn't possibly have had a better experience. Maddy was so kind and knowledgeable, and kept the activities moving at the perfect pace. Never a dull moment. The accommodation was spot on--location and vibe were perfect. We stayed in Alta, NW for the Northern Lights Trip, and boy did it deliver. It had it all--aurora borealis, wildlife (WHALES! Foxes, reindeer, sea otters, puffins), the scenic fjords, sea cliffs, and tundra. And of course, being able to share the experience with with a group wonderful people really made this a core memory. Same time next year? ✌️

During the 2023 Christmas time, I went to hike in Mallorca, and I had a great time. The scenery in Mallorca is very beautiful. Particularly, when hiking along the route, you can see beautiful mountains, beautiful Mediterranean Sea, and Spanish houses. The blue sky, the fresh air, the light, the buildings, the mountains, ... All the scenes made me feel very calm and comfortable. During the hiking route, we visited Spanish towns, ate Spanish food, enjoyed the beach of the Mediterranean, it’s such a rich hiking trip. And every night we tasted food from different countries, all are very delicious! I thank our guide, thank friends in the group, it’s a wonderful hiking trip!!!

My Finland Northern Lights trip was overall a good experience, made especially smooth by the support from the organising team. A special mention to Maddy, who coordinated the trip efficiently and was always responsive, and to our trip guide Karan, who was friendly, helpful, and ensured things ran well throughout.
The itinerary, however, could use some refinement. For example, the day trip to Santa Village felt a bit unnecessary and that time could have been better spent in Inari, which had more to offer. The last day also felt rushed—we didn’t get enough time at the museum, and the Gold Museum was unfortunately closed (though we still got to try gold panning, which was enjoyable). A slightly more balanced or even shorter itinerary would likely improve the overall experience.
