Expats Travel Together publishes destination guidance to help international travellers decide where to go, what to expect and what may not be worth their time.
Responsibility
Expats Travel Together is the author and publisher of the Blog. Vincent Scheidecker is responsible for editorial review and standards. This role does not imply that he personally visited every place described.
Research and verification
We favour current official, institutional and primary sources for practical facts. Important claims are checked against an additional independent source when necessary. Sources are linked close to the relevant information where they help readers verify or continue their research.
Editorial value
Articles should give a clear, reasoned view rather than repeat generic praise. We aim to explain who a place suits, its limits, access constraints, seasonality and practical trade-offs. Content that cannot be made reliable and useful is removed.
Use of editorial tools
Research and drafting tools, including AI-assisted tools, may support the process. They do not replace article-by-article review, source verification or editorial responsibility. We do not invent visits, quotations or first-hand experience.
Images, video and corrections
Images and videos must support the text and are not used as substitutes for essential information. Substantive updates change the displayed modification date. Material errors should be corrected promptly; obsolete or unverifiable pages may be merged, redirected or removed.
