The closest railway station is Nanu Oya, about 8 km from the town, where tuk-tuks and taxis are available for the final leg of the journey. Alternatively, buses run from Colombo and Kandy, though road travel can be slow due to traffic and weather conditions.
Getting Around
The town center is compact and walkable. For sites further afield, tuk-tuks are a convenient option, with fares around Rs 700 for short trips. Keep in mind that travel in the area is slow, so plan your excursions accordingly.
