Cetti Bay Overlook

Visiting Cetti Bay Overlook on Guam’s southwest coast is a rewarding experience for those who appreciate natural beauty. This scenic spot offers a breathtaking view of Cetti Bay and the surrounding foothills. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can embark on a hike to the falls below, which takes about three hours according to local signage. Although I didn’t have the chance to try the hike myself, it’s a popular activity for those looking to explore more of the area’s natural wonders.

What to Expect at Cetti Bay Overlook

The overlook itself is straightforward but offers a stunning view of the bay. There are two levels of elevation, with the higher one theoretically providing a better vantage point. However, be aware that overgrown plants can obstruct the view. Despite this, it’s still worth a brief stop to soak in the scenery. Across the road, you’ll notice a cross atop a mountain, which is a site for pilgrimages and can be hiked to if you’re interested in a spiritual journey.

Getting There

Reaching Cetti Bay Overlook is relatively easy. From Guam’s main town center, you can either rent a car or take a taxi. The drive takes about 30 minutes and is quite scenic, offering glimpses of the island’s lush landscapes. Don’t forget your camera to capture the journey.

Best Time to Visit

The ideal time to visit is during the dry season, from December to April, when the weather is pleasant and rain is less likely to disrupt your plans. If you prefer fewer crowds, consider visiting during the shoulder seasons of May to June or September to November.
