Cancun

About Cancun

Cancun, located on the northeast corner of the Mexican Caribbean, is a city that emerged from a government tourism project in the 1970s. Today, it is a bustling city with nearly 900,000 residents and a top-tier beach resort destination. The area is known for its 14 miles of white sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and proximity to Mayan archaeological sites.

Getting There

Reaching Cancun is straightforward, with direct flights available from major cities worldwide. Cancun International Airport serves as the primary entry point. Upon arrival, transportation options include taxis, shuttle services, and rental cars, making it easy to reach your accommodation.

Best Time to Visit

Cancun experiences a tropical climate with warm temperatures throughout the year. The ideal time to visit is during the dry season, from November to April, when the weather is pleasant and rainfall is minimal. Be aware that spring break can bring large crowds, so plan accordingly if you prefer a quieter experience.

Local Transportation

Getting around Cancun is convenient. The local bus system is affordable and covers the entire city. Taxis are plentiful, but ensure they are licensed and use a meter to avoid overcharging. Renting a car offers the freedom to explore beyond the city at your own pace.
