  • Leh: Leh, the capital of Ladakh: situated in the northernmost region of India, is a destination renowned for its rugged beauty, ancient monasteries, and spiritual serenity.
  • Leh Palace: Perched atop a hill overlooking the city, Leh Palace is a magnificent nine-story structure built in the 17th century by King Sengge Namgyal. With its imposing architecture and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, it offers a glimpse into Ladakh’s royal past.
  • Shanti Stupa: This white-domed stupa, built by Japanese monks to promote world peace, is one of Leh’s most iconic landmarks. Situated on a hilltop, it offers breathtaking views of the city and the snow-capped Himalayas. Visitors often come here to witness the mesmerizing sunrise or sunset.
  • Thiksey Monastery: Located about 20 kilometers from Leh, Thiksey Monastery is one of the largest and most picturesque monasteries in Ladakh. Perched on a hill, it houses numerous temples, stupas, and exquisite Tibetan artwork, including a towering statue of Maitreya Buddha.
  • Magnetic Hill: Located on the Leh-Kargil-Baltic National Highway, Magnetic Hill is known for its unique optical illusion where vehicles appear to roll uphill against gravity. Visitors often stop here to experience this intriguing phenomenon and capture memorable photographs.

  • Pangong Lake: While not directly in Leh, Pangong Lake is a popular day trip destination located about 160 kilometers away. This mesmerizing high-altitude lake, with its ever-changing shades of blue, gained international fame after featuring in the Bollywood movie “3 Idiots.”

Meeting location & time: Meet your guide at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (Delhi Airport) on 10 July. Note: Exact accommodation details will be advised to confirmed participants closer to the trip date.

Finishing location & time: Indira Gandhi International Airport (Delhi Airport) on 22 July.

Note: If you are leaving earlier or later, please us know in the sheet that will be shared with you closer to the event date, so that we can accordingly make the relevant drop-off arrangements.

How to get to Delhi?

  • Flying is the fastest way to reach Delhi (Indira Gandhi International Airport) with direct flights from most European cities.
  • Reach out directly for flight inclusive package prices from any European city to Delhi.

Things to Pack:

  • Comfortable clothing suitable for both warm and cool weather
  • Sturdy walking shoes
  • Sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats for protection against the sun
  • Warm clothing layers for colder destinations like Manali and Leh
  • Personal medications and first aid kit
  • Power banks for electronic devices
  • Portable water bottles to stay hydrated
  • Camera or smartphone for capturing memorable moments
  • Any specific dietary requirements or snacks you may prefer during long drives

Ø Other Important Advice:

  • Visa is required for most participants, so you can either apply for visa yourself or we can apply it on your behalf for an additional fee (refer to add-on’s for more info on this matter).
  • Acclimatise gradually to higher altitudes to prevent altitude sickness, especially during the Manali to Leh road trip.
  • Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water to combat the effects of high altitude.

WHAT IS THE PLAN ?

Day 1 – Arrival in Delhi

Upon landing at Delhi Airport on July 10th, 2024, our representative will meet you for a transfer to the hotel. Rest and acclimatise after your journey, taking in the sights and sounds of India’s capital city.

Day 2 – Delhi Sightseeing

Explore the vibrant streets of both Old and New Delhi on July 11th, visiting iconic landmarks such as the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, India Gate, Parliament House, and Humayun’s Tomb. Experience the rich history and cultural diversity of Delhi.

Day 3 Taj Mahal & Agra

Depart for Agra early on July 12th to marvel at the majestic Taj Mahal, a symbol of eternal love. Explore the Agra Fort and other historical sites before returning to Delhi in the evening.

Day 4 – Delhi to Manali Road Trip

Set out on a scenic road journey from Delhi to Manali on July 13th, immersing yourself in the beauty of the Himalayan foothills. Enjoy the serenity of the mountains as you drive towards your destination.

Day 5- Manali Sightseeing

Discover the charm of Manali on July 14th, visiting attractions such as Hadimba Temple, Vashisht Hot Springs, and the Tibetan Monastery. Take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and peaks.

Day 6 – Manali to Jispa

Continue your adventure on July 15th as you travel from Manali to Jispa, a picturesque village nestled along the Bhaga River. Enjoy the scenic drive through mountain passes and valleys, soaking in the beauty of the Himalayas.

Day 7 – Jispa to Leh Road Trip

Embark on a thrilling journey from Jispa to Leh on July 16th, traversing high-altitude passes and rugged landscapes. Experience the awe-inspiring beauty of the Himalayas as you make your way to the ancient city of Leh.

Day 8 – Leh Sightseeing

Take time to acclimatize to the high altitude on July 17th while exploring Leh’s cultural treasures, including Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, and the bustling local market. Relax and enjoy the unique atmosphere of this Himalayan town.

Day 9 –Nubra Valley

Venture into the enchanting Nubra Valley on July 18th, visiting Diskit Monastery, Hunder Sand Dunes, and other scenic spots. Encounter the region’s unique landscapes, including sand dunes and double-humped camels.

Day 10 – Pangong Lake

On July 19th, journey to the breathtaking Pangong Lake, renowned for its stunning blue waters. Spend the day soaking in the tranquility of this remote Himalayan lake, surrounded by majestic mountains.

Day 11 – Return to Leh

Bid farewell to Pangong Lake on July 20th and return to Leh, where you can enjoy a leisurely day exploring the town or relaxing at your hotel. Reflect on the incredible experiences of your journey through the Himalayas.

Day 12 – Departure from Leh

On July 21st, fly back to Delhi from Leh Airport, marking the end of your Himalayan adventure. Transfer to your hotel in Delhi for a final night’s stay, reminiscing about the memories created during your trip.

Day 13 – Departure from Delhi back home

Conclude your journey on July 22nd with a transfer to Delhi Airport for your onward flight, carrying with you the memories of your unforgettable exploration of India’s diverse landscapes and cultural heritage.

  • Free cancellation up to 7 full days before the start of the trip. After that, cancel up to 5 days before the trip to get a 50% refund.
  • If the event is cancelled by Urbanature Travel (UNT), you will get a full refund (excluding any airfares), unless you have purchased a flight inclusive package directly with Urbanature Travel (UNT) in which case you will get a refund including the flights.
